POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining DSU production flow and meeting or exceeding production goals, while ensuring an excellent customer experience for our donors. Maintain a safe and clean worksite and promote guidelines and processes. Works with Manager in supervising and providing training opportunities to employees.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:â ¢ 6 months Goodwill or supervisory experience requiredâ ¢ High School/GED preferredQUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:â ¢ Ability to supervise and motivate employees.â ¢ Ability to handle the needs of barrier/disabled employees in a sensitive and effective manner.â ¢ Ability to communicate appropriately with coworkers and donorsâ ¢ Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform their dutiesâ ¢ Ability to handle goods throughout the DSUâ ¢ Ability to stand and walk for long periodsâ ¢ Ability to stoop and bendâ ¢ Willing to perform tasks necessary to ensure continuous operationsâ ¢ Ability to work varied hours and days as business dictatesâ ¢ Valid Texas driver's license requiredRESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:(E - Essential function of job duties)â ¢ Responsible for consistently monitoring process flow (donated/new goods) and making process improvements as necessary. (E)â ¢ Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by promoting a customer friendly environment. Greet, acknowledge and express genuine concern for customers and their needs. (E)â ¢ Lead team in offering an excellent customer experience at the donation door. Ensure donations are accepted graciously, every customer is thanked and a receipt is offered to each donor. (E)â ¢ Make appropriate decisions in a variety of situations including but not limited to altercations, medical emergencies, theft, power failure, inclement weather, etc. (E)â ¢ Must be able to perform all aspects of the donation process and ensure smooth flow of quality donations. (E)â ¢ Ensure produced goods meet company standards and are distributed to each store or area appropriately (E)â ¢ Expertly and efficiently operate and troubleshoot tagger computer system. Lead team in tagging process and ensure process are followed appropriately. (E)â ¢ Display solid product knowledge & value of donated goods. (E)â ¢ Coach and educate new staff, as well as provide ongoing training.â ¢ Responsible for accurately maintaining production records and production goals. (E)â ¢ Monitor and report staff productivity, scheduling, and other issues to Manager. (E)â ¢ Lead team in conducting regular safety checks (E)â ¢ Maintain security protocol regarding passwords, money handling and safeguarding the facility (E)â ¢ Adhere to & enforce all company policies, procedures & practices including pricing & loss prevention. (E)â ¢ Monitor supplies and equipment and takes action as necessary (E)â ¢ Communicate appropriately & positively with co-workers & others. (E)â ¢ Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
