Technical Assurance & Compliance Manager - Well Services Houston, Texas | Oil & Gas Services Are you a technically strong oilfield professional with a passion for execution excellence, process discipline, and operational integrity? We are looking for a Technical Assurance & Compliance Manager for our Well Services division to strengthen technical integrity, execution consistency, and compliance across well services operations. Based in Houston, this role plays a critical assurance and governance function supporting global field operations in a highâ performance oil & gas services environment. About the Role As Technical Assurance & Compliance Manager, you will act as a central technical assurance authority, ensuring that engineering standards, operating management systems, quality control plans, and operational processes are consistently applied across supported regions. You will work independently and with authority to: * Challenge nonâ compliant activities
* Enforce technical and process standards
* Provide assurance over execution readiness for highâ risk and complex operations This role is pivotal in reducing service quality incidents, eliminating execution variability, and strengthening technical integrity across the business. Key Responsibilities * Provide independent technical assurance and compliance oversight across well services operations
* Enforce compliance with the Operating Management System (OMS), QCPs, controlled documentation, and operational workflows
* Act as the technical assurance focal point for highâ risk, highâ profile, or complex operations
* Support and challenge PRAs, DWOPs, CWOPs, and operational readiness reviews
* Verify readiness of equipment, personnel competence, procedures, and risk mitigation plans prior to execution
* Escalate technical or compliance risks and recommend operational hold points where required
* Lead and participate in riskâ based audits across field operations and workshops
* Own service quality and failure notification processes, ensuring investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions are completed and effective
* Identify systemic technical and process risks and drive continuous improvement
* Support deployment of new technologies, field trials, and product improvements
* Interface closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales What We're Looking For Education * Degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related technical discipline (relevant field experience considered) Experience * 8-12+ years in oilfield services, with experience in operations, engineering, technical support, service quality, or assurance roles
* Strong understanding of downhole tools, Well intervention, Wireline or similar well services operations
* Experience with OMS frameworks, QCPs, audits, and compliance processes is a strong advantage
* Field, rigâ site, workshop, or customerâ facing technical experience highly valued Personal Attributes * Confident technical professional able to challenge constructively and enforce standards
* Strong analytical skills, technical judgement, and attention to detail
