Job Description Job Description The Sales Rep - Automation, located in Odessa, TX, will report directly to the Permian Sales Manager and will be working from the office and home when not at customer sites. The position is responsible for long term profitable growth in the Permian Basin. The successful candidate will also ensure Lufkin's automation products and services are well positioned to win in the marketplace, considering current and future market conditions. This team member will gain business by building strong relationships through technical knowledge, integrity, customer service and product reliability. They will communicate Lufkin's value propositions, complete, and shorten sales cycles and deliver the products/services to meet those needs and achieving goals as outlined by the sales plan.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Understanding customers' and market segment needsUnderstanding industry trends, market dynamics and standards/regulatory developmentsUnderstanding competitive landscape and maintain competitive and industry analysisDeveloping and executing product line strategiesInfluencing customer product requirements that influence tender specificationsWriting proposals in response to customer needs, RFQs and RFPsInformal quotes while communicating our technical knowledge and value propositionDeveloping new products and service proposals and business cases to enhance our automation portfolioParticipating in bidding strategy for key opportunitiesQualifications/Requirements:Strong interpersonal skillsStrong technical backgroundA self-starter with a strong driveAbility to work well under pressureEmbrace teamwork and team sellingMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the United StatesWillingness to travel up to 30% to visit customers in remote locations as neededProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointProficiency using Salesforce or other CRMBusiness, Engineering or Technical degree preferred with10-15 years of industry experience.
