Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Yard Technician to manage and maintain the organization, preservation, and logistics of compressor units and equipment in the Southeast Yard located in Midland, TX. This role is critical in ensuring equipment is properly handled, documented, preserved, and prepared for deployment or decommissioning.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the SE Yard.
• Keep an up-to-date yard map and submit monthly yard reports.
• Ensure all Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation is accurately completed and submitted for units entering and leaving the yard.
• Oversee preservation of compressor units, including filling out preservation paperwork and maintaining preservation logs.
• Prepare RED X (out-of-service) units for removal from the yard.
• Ensure all units are protected from environmental exposure.
• Safely operate a 30,000 LB forklift for moving and storing equipment.
• Load and unload compressor units from trucks with proper training.
• Dismantle engine and compressor components from packages as required.
• Assist in assembling small systems prior to field deployment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Support inventory and asset tracking efforts related to equipment movement and storage.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
• Proven ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, including large forklifts (30,000 LB or higher), preferred.
• Must be capable of being trained to safely load/unload heavy equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with natural gas compressor systems is a plus.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Must be self-motivated, self-driven, and dependable.
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Requires regular lifting, standing, climbing, and use of heavy machinery.
• May involve exposure to loud equipment, grease, oils, and mechanical components.
