The phlebotomist/registrar will be required to perform procedures to include venipuncture, capillary puncture, and bedside testing. The phlebotomist/registrar is also responsible for accurate patient identification and proper labeling of specimens at the bedside. The phlebotomist must also be able to communicate with patients, doctors, and other hospital staff. As registrar, will perform duties necessary to ensure accurate and timely registration of all patients accessing the laboratory patient service center. A. Education: High School graduate or equivalent required. Completion of a phlebotomy training course or on the job training with at least one year of phlebotomy experience in a CAP certified hospital laboratory preferred. CPR certification required, PBT (ASCP), CPT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in medical field preferred.
