Description:

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mechanisms Engineer (Assembly, Integration, and Test) to join a Government Consulting company located in Midland, TX through 100% onsite work . The Mechanisms Engineer (AIT) will support the design, assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft mechanisms, contributing to the rapid production and deployment of a next-generation satellite constellation.Responsibilities:Assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft mechanisms, including thousands of moving parts per satelliteDevelop and operate ground support equipment for vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum testingAnalyze test data, determine pass/fail criteria, and support spacecraft integration and launch operationsCollaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure mechanism performance from design through mission deploymentTroubleshoot anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to design improvementsQualifications:4+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or related engineering fieldsProficiency in mechanical assembly, testing, and integration of space hardwareExperience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, thermal chambers)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFlexibility for occasional weekend and early morning work (e.g., 4 AM deployments) The initial 50–60 hour workweeks, including some weekends, are due to an accelerated satellite production ramp-up, but will ease to 40-hour weeks as operations stabilize, with built-in flexibility and protected Sundays to support team sustainabilityMust be able to provide 2 letters of recommendations from former managers/ employersCompensation:Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000+ depending on experienceComprehensive Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and HolidaysMust be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background checkLocation: 100% onsite in Midland, TXKeywords:Mechanisms Engineer, AIT, Aerospace, Satellite Integration, CAD, Creo, SolidWorks, Thermal Vacuum Testing, Vibration Testing, Ground Support Equipment, Test Engineering, Spacecraft, CubeSat, Launch Operations, Agile, Manufacturing, SpaceTech#J-18808-Ljbffr
