The Safety Manager works within the department providing oversight and assistance of field work crews in order to comply with company and legal standards.

Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelors Degree in Safety

Experience: 1+ years in industry related safety position

Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, meet minimum driving requirements for company insurance purposes, successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Reports to: Regional HSE Manager - Midcon

Direct Reports: None

Work Schedule: Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of industry – hours may be long and irregular.

Duties

1. Complete multiple jobsite audits each week identifying and correcting real or potential hazards observed.
2. Make recommendations to management on improvement of processes and equipment to foster a safer working environment.
3. Provide training for employees in both the field and classroom setting and ensure employee understanding of applicable rules and regulations.
4. Lead on the ground incident investigation and post injury management efforts. Provide guidance to field supervision and assist in finding root cause and corrective measures.
5. Attend meetings and trainings required by customers.
6. Manage company safety management systems and input appropriate information for tracking purposes.
7. Manage safety equipment inventory ensuring proper equipment is provided to meet company and customer policy.
8. Track training expirations and provide appropriate retraining.
9. Other tasks as assigned by management.
