Associate Manufacturing Engineer Role

Want to join a pioneering aerospace company working to deliver global 4G/5G connectivity through space-based cellular networks?

They are looking for an associate manufacturing engineer, who will help evaluate and optimize manufacturing methods to ensure product quality, cost-efficiency, and safety. This role involves collaboration with R&D, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product designs for manufacturability; advise R&D accordingly
  • Develop efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing processes
  • Lead or support process improvement projects (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma)
  • Create documentation: layouts, tooling plans, work instructions
  • Support new product introductions and production ramp-up
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues in real time
  • Participate in safety and quality initiatives


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related) or 8 years equivalent experience
  • 0-3 years experience for Associate level; 3+ years for Mid-level
  • Proficient in MS Office, CAD/CAM, and technical writing
  • Understanding of Six Sigma, tooling, gauging, and fixture design
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and pFMEA
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar tools
  • Experience with ERP/MES/PLM systems (e.g., Solumina, NetSuite, Fusion360)
  • Exposure to robotic manufacturing and automation
  • Six Sigma Black Belt (DMAIC) certification a plus
