Job DescriptionAs a Distribution Associate, you will: Serve our customers by giving them exactly what they need when they need it. We aren't just offering a job, but inviting you to begin a career. Starting in this role you will learn our processes, products and industry which will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed at Summit.Key Responsibilities Maintain a clean vehicle, daily driver logs and weekly vehicle inspection reportsPull customer tickets to fulfill orders.Load and unload Summit trucksSafely deliver products to customer locations.Provide exceptional service to all customers.Ability to use iPad to review orders and collect signaturesReport all delivery issues and concernsPrepare orders for shipment to customers.Receive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.Understand products and their capabilities and warranties.Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times.Maintaining safe practices and proactively upholds Summit's commitment to a safe workplace.QualificationsEssential Qualifications and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent driving recordAt least 21 years of ageValid Driver's LicenseTime management - strong ability to organize and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and writtenFlexibility - ability to effectively adapt to changeStrong customer service orientationBeneficial Skills and ExperienceAt least a year of previous driving experienceiPad or tablet experienceCustomer service experienceAbility to perform duties with minimal supervisionAptitude for learningPhysical ChallengesAbility to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basisAbility to operate standard warehouse equipmentAbility to operate commercial vehiclesPre-employment assessments, drug, and background screens are administered.DOT medical exam is required for all drivers.
